Managers

María Fernanda Céspedes

Candidate for a Master's Degree in Management of Cultural Institutions and Businesses at the Universitat de Barcelona, Spain (ongoing) and current general director of the Ibero-American Federation of Academies of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences - FIACINE, an entity that brings together the Academies of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of 13 countries in the region: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Dominican Republic and Venezuela, and with which she leads the projects FIACINE Women - Women's Equity in the Ibero-American film industry; Film and Education in Ibero-America; Accessible Cinema in Ibero-America; and Creation of Ibero-American Network of Academies of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences.
 
Her final Master's thesis is the AULASMEDIA Ibero-America Program, "Strategic scenario for implementing public policy on media literacy in schools in 12 Ibero-American countries, based on the public-private partnership mechanism". She has a graduate degree in International Cultural Management from the Universitat de Barcelona, 2020 (Spain); her final work was "Cinema and Education in Iberoamerica. Audiovisual literacy framework for Iberoamerica; Pilot plan for nine countries in the region."
 
She has experience in cultural cooperation between Latin America and Europe, formulating and implementing community projects, public-private partnerships, and designing and implementing strategies for creating collaborative networks in the Ibero-American cultural industry.
 
As the Executive Director of the Colombian Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (2014 - 2021), she managed and led the following projects to promote and strengthen the film industry: Towards the Macondos (an alternative exhibition of Colombian cinema), To the rhythm Macondo (philharmonic concert of Colombian cinema), Manual of functions, positions and credits of the Colombian film industry (industry publication), Macondo Hotbeds (industry training), Women of Macondo (gender equality project in the Colombian film industry), Film books, FILBO Movies (content market between literary publishers and film producers), Macondo Awards (2015, 2016, 2017, 2017, 2018, and 2019 editions), and the Netflix fund to support the Colombian audiovisual industry (Covid19).
 
She is a founding member of the Women's Movement of the Colombian audiovisual sector - MUSA.
