The Bogota Audiovisual Market - BAM, one of the most outstanding audiovisual markets in Latin America, closed the first calls for its 2022 edition. Under the slogan “The world belongs to those who insist,” the 13th edition will offer meeting spaces for different agents of the audiovisual industry to promote professional exchanges, foster new businesses, and push new talents. The BAM is organized by the Bogota Chamber of Commerce and Proimágenes Colombia and supported by the Film Development Fund (FDC). Its 13th edition will take place from July 11 to 16.

“This 2022, we keep betting on growth and consolidation of a solid, sustainable industry. We want to remain being that place where creativity, talents, projects, and market needs collide; and where dreams come true through stories told with moving images. While growing, learning, and adapting to changes, we acknowledge the benefits of a virtual BAM. With this in mind, we will continue to offer accessibility options to participants who have found in this new reality the opportunity of keeping up to date and doing new businesses. However, we insist on the importance of in-person meetings and the value of seeing each other again, shaking hands, hugging, sharing a coffee, or sitting together at a round table. That is why this year we will return, you and we, to our traditional venues of industry, experience, and projections; to enjoy all the activities that allow us to share experiences together.”

On April 7th, this edition of BAM closed these calls for entries in its first stage:

Film Projects: this category invites Colombian production companies to be part of FILM PROJECTS by applying with a proposal that has completed development and pre-production and has verifiable minimum funding.

Series Projects: for national production companies to be part of this category, specialized in this type of projects, and thus join a preparation route and one-on-one meetings to increase their chances of arranging businesses and realizing their content.

Stories: it invites audiovisual writers to apply to be part of an industry agenda aiming to promote the content and the talent behind it. This category is aimed at professionals who seek to market their stories and are open to meeting national and international audiovisual industry players that could become their production allies.

Animation: it calls for production companies and animation studios with an animated project under development. This category is open to animated audiovisual content focused on young audiences, ages 3 to 11, searching for funding alternatives to continue their production and completion.
The second stage of the call for entries and the accreditation process to enter the event will be open during April.
