1. Evolution of Colombia's Film Market
- During the first semester of 2013 the number of spectators rose by 8.7% (1,768,796 spectators) over the same period in 2012.
- During the first semester of 2013 attendance (spectators/inhabitant) rose by 7.5% over the same period in 2012.
- The number of spectators in the first semester of each year between 2007 and 2013 accounted for an average of 50% of total annual spectators
- Box office revenues in US dollars during the first semester of 2013 exceeded those recorded during the same period in 2012 by 9.6 million US dollars
- During the first semester of 2013, box office revenues grew by 11% compared to the same period in 2012.
- In the first semester of 2013, five more films were released than during the same period in 2012.
- The number of releases during the first semester of 2013 dropped by three compared with the same period in 2012.
- During the first semester of 2013, 5.7% of the total number of films released was Colombian.
- The number of screens increased by 45 during the first semester of 2013.
- The growth trend since 2009 in the number of spectators continued in all cities except for Barranquilla.
- Bogotá reached 9'172,600 spectators during the first semester of 2013 and it is still the city with the greatest number of spectators.
