In the industry section of the 58th Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, Colombia is represented with two projects: one in Sitges FanPitch and another in Sitges Coming Soon. Both projects received support and guidance from the International Promotion office of Proimágenes Colombia to reach this event.

At the 23rd Vancouver Latin American Film Festival (VLAFF), Colombia was represented with three short films and three feature films across different sections.

Colombia at Venice and Toronto

From August 27 to September 6, the 82nd Venice International Film Festival will be held, featuring Barrio triste (Sad Neighborhood; Colombia, United States), directed by Stillz. The 50th Toronto International Film Festival will run from September 4 to 14, with Tomás Corredor's Noviembre (November) in the Discovery section, and Simón Mesa Soto's Un poeta (A Poet) included in Special Presentations.

Balance BAM 2025

The 16th edition of the Bogotá Audiovisual Market brought together 2,275 accredited participants, including 313 guests from 28 countries. More than 830 meetings were held to strengthen partnerships across the audiovisual industry, with a program that highlighted animation, financing, and convergent storytelling. The closing ceremony awarded over 750 million pesos in prizes.

Awards for Colombia Around the World

Four Colombian productions stood out at this year's edition of the International Festival of Indigenous Peoples' Film and Communication (FIC-CLACPI); Llueve sobre Babel (Raining Over Babel) and Alma del desierto (Soul of the Desert) continue collecting awards at different events, while Forenses (Forensics) received the Grand Jury Prize in Karlovy Vary.
