Colombian presence in Toulouse

Colombia will take part in the 37th edition of the Toulouse Film Festival, to be held from March 21 to 30 in this French city, with a selection of fourteen productions that reflect the diversity and talent of the country. Horizonte y Malta in the Fiction Feature Competition, Alma del desierto in the Documentary Competition, Estamos en el mapa and Afuera el mundo cae sobre mi cuerpo in the Short Film Competition, and two shorts in the Spotlight: Miradas y voces indígenas, are some of them.

Seven films at the Chicago Latino Film Festival

Por cielo y tierra by Santiago Díaz Vence, El vaquero by Emma Rozanski and A menos que bailemos by Hanz Rippe Gabriel and Fernando Pineda Palencia, will have their Chicago premiere; Estimados señores by Patricia Castañeda as opening film and Horizonte by César Augusto Acevedo, will have their U.S. premiere; and Semillas by Eliana Niño and Sed by Julián Díaz Veloso, their world premiere, in the 41st edition of the event that will take place from April 3 to 14.

Two films in Malaga

Llueve sobre Babel and Un muerto en el pueblo have been selected for the Largometrajes Zonazine section in the 28th edition of the event, which will be held from March 14 to 23.

FICCI 64 announces contents

The Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival will take place from April 1 to 6. Its Official Selection includes several films that have benefited from initiatives to strengthen the sector, such as the Bogota Audiovisual Market - BAM, Refresh and the Film Development Fund - FDC.

Call for Industry Academy Latin America 2025 now open

The Locarno Festival promotes the Industry Academy, a training space for new talents in the circulation of independent cinema. Its third edition in Colombia will be held at BAM 2025, from July 14 to 18, thanks to its partnership with Proimágenes Colombia.

Colombia at Movies That Matter

Horizonte by César Augusto Acevedo and Justicia en el país de la niebla (Colombia, Spain) by Laura Dauden, will participate in the Dutch festival specialized in human rights and social justice, to be held from March 21 to 29.

Launch of the Audiovisual Fund for Racial Equity
