Degree in Journalism from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). She studied Communication at the Michel de Montaigne University (Bordeaux) and, after working as a journalist for the newspaper La Nación in Washington, she moved to Los Angeles, where studied a master's degree in directing at Chapman University. She also took a script course at the San Antonio de Los Baños International Film and Television School (Cuba). As a filmmaker, she has directed and written several short films and documentaries with international travel. Her short films have been selected in Kimuak and Madrid in short. El Palacio de la Luna was named the best short film of the year by Cahiers du Cinema magazine, and her documentary feature film 1 % Esquizofrenia, produced by Julio Medem, was premiered in theaters. For the last five years, she has been the coordinator and tutor of the master's degree in film directing at the EFTI school (International Center for Photography and Cinema) in Madrid, and teaches film workshops to students from disadvantaged areas of Latin America within the Gipuzkoa Coopera program of the Festival from San Sebastian. Her feature film project Hermanas, in the development phase, has been a finalist for the Film Academy residency program and first prize at Ventana CineMad 2021 for best fiction project. She is a member of the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences.
