Nothing goes as planned by the command of the M-19 movement and, early in the siege of the Palace of Justice, a group of guerrillas with some seriously wounded men must lock themselves in a washroom, overcrowded with more than fifty hostages, to resist for almost twenty-seven hours the brutality of a confrontation that civilians never asked to be part of, between their captors from the insurgent group and the State’s Armed Forces. Under these extreme circumstances the complexity of the human condition comes to life when faced with adversity and the despair of violence and war.
