It’s the 90s, Sofía (15) and her mother, Lorena (40), live a luxurious upper-class life in Medellín. The fracture in their relationship, caused by Lorena’s neglect toward Sofía, becomes exacerbated when Carlos, father and husband, does not return from a business trip. The absence of the head of the family makes them experience a financial stress unknown to them. Their world falls apart without him. Lorena will do all sorts of illegal tricks to keep their home from collapsing and will finally try to be a mother. Sofía will have to confront their dysfunctional relationship, accept Lorena the way she is, and face her wealthy friends as the daughter of an imprisoned drug baron in the US and not a traveling businessman.
