Luzbeidy Monterrosa Atencio, an Indigenous filmmaker from the Eirüku Siijono, Wayuu community, is an audiovisual creator. Her project "Jülapüin Yonna" was selected by the National Council of Arts and Culture in Cinematography (CNACC) as a beneficiary. She also received an international grant from the global women's human rights organization and feminist fund MADRE, as her project reflects on climate change from the perspective of her people.
She is the founder of the Shinyak Kashikai Association, dedicated to the origin of knowledge and the balance of the female world. The association advocates for the rights of indigenous children and women and promotes the protection of indigenous territories.
ABOUT SEMILLEROS DACMI:
The Semilleros DACMI will have the opportunity to generate connections with other cultural agents and managers, where they will have the opportunity to learn about sales tools and the opportunities that are generated for content and talent in national and international industry spaces, allowing them to connect their regions to the industrial dynamics to have easy access to information and/or logistical processes to move forward with a project.
