Synopsis

Three theater actors –two Colombian men and the Venezuelan girlfriend of one of them– are asked by their sponsor to keep some boxes for him while he is away for three months. However, shortly alter their benefactor leaves, they find out that he has been imprisoned in Europe for money laundering and drug dealing, and that he will apparently be in jail for several years. The three friends decide to open the boxes, guessing they could contain drugs or money. Instead they discover an arsenal of sophisticated weapons. Pressed by financial needs, they decide to pass off as guerrilla members who want to turn in their weapons and return to society. To accomplish their plan, they travel to the conflict zone in Colombia and contact the office of the High Commissioner for Peace. In exchange their surrender they ask for political asylum in Spain, in the hope of starting a new life and living exciting adventures in Europe. This Crazy idea places them face to face with the real actors of the Colombian armed conflict: the army, the guerrilla, and the paramilitaries. Their adventure becomes even riskier when the presence of the Venezuelan girl affects the tense relations between the Colombian government and Chaves.
