Synopsis
El Gringo Wedding is a romantic comedy set across two continents. Rebeca Gonzalez and Matt Goldman meet through the dating agency, “Agencia del Amor” (Agency of Love), run by a cast of misfits, who serve as Cupids for misguided souls. Matt and Rebecca soon fall in love despite their lack of a common language, aided by Javier, who steps in as “translator extraordinaire”. He brings the couple together through his over-the-top translations and comic encounters. The conflict begins when the familias of Rebecca and Matt oppose their wedding plans. The parents can only see a disaster given the differences in religion, culture, and language. Matt and Rebecca, armed with their flamboyant translator Javier, nevertheless decide to take the plunge in pursuit of happiness and a long life together. El Gringo’s Wedding is full of laughter and romance, but at the same time, is a thoughtprovoking story about common values of love and friendship.
