Synopsis
Stoplights are living tombs for thousands of displaced peasants who, forced out of the Colombian countryside, must beg to survive in the big city. Among the displaced we find Raul, a recycler alienated by stubbornness, unrestricted freedom and drug abuse. He’s determined on using his limited knowledge and a few ingenuous devices to alter at will the duration of the red traffic light. This feat will allow street performers including jugglers, cripples and vendors, to have more time for their acts. Amidst the delirium and fantasy, the circus aura surrounding their lives gradually becomes a symphony of anarchy, despair and hopelessness.
