Tracing the steps of the black “gaita”, the traditional wind instrument of the Colombian northern coast, we visit the legendary masters Paito and Saya and follow their stories geographically. A rich history of mestizage is revealed as the masters of the black “gaita” join the old “gaiteros” of San Jacinto.
