Synopsis
Through the fate of her family, the director shows the break-up of the middle class and of Colombian society in general as the continuing growth of hyper-liberalism forces a formerly privileged part of the population into exile and poverty. What happens when, over a period of years, a family is gradually forced into separation? Often with no money left and isolated, those who remain are forced to survive in a country where family is at the core of society, while those who leave try their best, in their own different ways, to build a new life abroad.
