Synopsis

Every weekend, voluntarily and with help from his two donkeys Alfa and Beto, Professor Luis Soriano brings books to the faraway villages of the Magdalena Medio province in Colombia. He reaches children, regardless of their backgrounds –peasants, guerrillas, paramilitaries or those of cartel members—and reads to them, lends them books, and coaxes them to tell their own stories. Donkey-brary is a simple story from a complicated country; a story of culture in the midst of war and a humane and inspirational account of the generous relationship between Luis and the children he serves.
