Synopsis

The Reader is the story of a college girl that by chance is kidnapped by a couple of bad boys,so that she can translate a manuscript for them and confirm an urban legend. Somewhere in the city lies a treasure, a hidden briefcase. This mysterious manuscript tells the story of a couple that hides that briefcase: Karen, a stripper, who is always looking for true love; and Cachorro, a young and ambitious cab driver in love with the wrong woman and in the search of a nice future. The Reader will try to escape at all cost from her kidnappers, using only her ability to read. Karen and Cachorro will put their lives at risk trying to get back the briefcase that holds their future. Between reality and plausible fiction, these two parallel stories are woven through the culture of ambition, wealthy pasts, uncertain futures, love, and dreams of freedom.
