Synopsis
Rosana and Hermelinda, two illiterate peasants receive Pastor's letter from whom they have not had news for months. Anxious to know about the young husband's luck, Hermelinda and Pastor's mother begin a trip toward to the nearest village in search of somebody that reads the letter. The seven months pregnancy of Hermelinda is not an impediment to undertake the march. Corina, the cow, hooked to a ramshackle cart will make the journey easier. After a long and troublesome day, the women arrive to the village. There, they discover with horror that some inhabitants have been killed. In the middle of a scenario of death, the childbirth of Hermelinda anticipates. With the newly born, exhausted and caught in the middle of other people's war, the women begin a journey to hell. In their escape, Rosana and Hermelinda discover that the ghost of war is nothing more than a continuation of hate, the secrets and fear that we all carry in our souls.
