Synopsis
In this shivering documentary, Francisco Schmitt García portrays the lives of four fishermen whose days pass among the indifferent flow of the Magdalena River, their work and getting drunk on guarapo. Life has offered these men little and they have resigned themselves to a hopeless existence and even fewer hopes of transcendence. This melancholic ethnographic portrait reveals a deep, rural Colombia, where communities condemned to 100 years of solitude still survive.
