Synopsis

Alberto Navarro, 28, lives at Cienaga Grande de Santa Marta; he has learned to live locked within a body that doesn’t accept orders as a result of dystonia, an illness that does not only inhibit mobility, but keeps him permanently connected to a ventilator. His mother makes a living out of fishing and out of her old sewing machine; besides her son’s medicine, she’ll make sure he doesn’t need anything… BUT HE LACKS EVERYTHING! One day, Alberto decides he wants to watch the sea with his own eyes, and convinces his mother to help him. Aware that this is one of the few things her son has ever asked her, the mother accepts without suspecting all he really wants is to desperately escape that swamp life has put him into.
