Synopsis

The ‘90s. The world is changing dramatically and Cuba is drowning in hunger, cigars and rum. In this grim landscape, the lives of Candelaria (64), and Victor Hugo (63), a couple who stays together out of inertia, take a surprising turn the day Candelaria finds a hi8 video camera at the hotel where she works. Through this lens, Candelaria and Victor Hugo look at each, caress each other, and love each other once again. But this unexpected happiness is only the sweet start of the end. Candelaria: a tragicomedy that moves to the rhythm of Cuban son.
