Synopsis
Camilo, 34, an Italian citizen of Colombian origin, has not returned to his country in 18 years.
One day, driven by a shocking encounter and the increasingly insistent curiosities of little Esteban, his son, he decides to face the dramatic past and the wounds that he has kept hidden throughout his life. He follows in the footsteps of his father Bernardo, a former revolutionary guerrilla who died in exile in Italy, and his mother Amparo, who disappeared when Camilo was a 5-year-old boy.
Camilo recovers the memory of those days thanks to the vision of dozens of amateur films filmed by his father throughout his life, which, together with letters, newspapers and photographs, constitute an incredible and unpublished family archive. In this way, Camilo addresses the origins of pain and rancor that torment him, trying to understand the reasons for the difficult decisions parents made during the guerrilla war.
