Synopsis
On an ordinary morning, an unidentified body is discovered, grotesquely impaled, by a scenic lake near Bogotá, outside the home of a wealthy, recently-deceased eccentric. To solve the case, journalist Victor Silampa, his associate Emir Estupiñán and Quica, a sensual young prostitute, traverse the various strata of Colombian society - where transactions are conducted Ander the table, and the most unlikely ties bind the government, big business, the judiciary and the mob. Part thriller, part depiction of institucional corruption, this poignant social drama laced with black comedy and shot entirely on location in Bogotá is replete with characters best described as idiosyncratic and vibrant.
