Roberto Flores Prieto
Graduated from the International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba, his recent work as a director includes the feature film Heridas (2008), part of the official selection at the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival in 2008, and the documentary La Hija de la Luz, awarded the DocTV Colombia 2009 and nominated to the India Catalina Awards at the Cartagena Film Festival. He directed Cazando Luciérnagas (2013) as well as Ruido Rosa (2014), both feature films granted the Colombian Film Fund in 2010 and 2009, respectively.
As a producer, his filmography includes Cerrando Heridas (2009), documentary awarded by the Independent Producers Call from Mincultura–CNTV and Maquillaje para Ciegos (2010), awarded the Portfolio Production Grant of Bogotá’s Cultural Office. In 2011, he produced the short film Para Español marque Uno (2011), also awarded the Portfolio Production Grant of Bogotá’s cultural office, and both seasons of the documentary series Arte y Parte.
Currently, he is the director of the TV program for children Waldo y los Numerolocos, produced by Señal Colombia Channel and Fundación Universidad del Norte from Barranquilla, and the TV magazine Travelling for Telecaribe. El Paraíso and Tan Lejos Como Puedas are two of the his most recent feature films projects in process.
