Profiles: Sara Millán | Proimágenes Colombia

She studied graphic design at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana of Medellín, Her experience in the audiovisual media started in the Direction and Art Direction of several short films and video clips.

Her first work as a production designer was with the director Juan Felipe Orozco, in his feature film Al Final del Espectro (2005), awarded Best Art Direction in the National Film Awards 2008. Later, she was the art director for the feature film La Beca
(2007), directed by Ricardo Gabrielli, produced by FoxTelecolombia and starred by Marlon Moreno.

Between 2007 and 2008 she worked as an art director in the RCN series Sin Retorno, produced by FoxTelecolombia. Between 2008 and 2010 she worked as the production designer of her third feature film Saluda al Diablo de mi Parte, awarded Best Art Direction in the Macondo Awards 2012. In 2011 she was the art designer of the feature film Cazando Luciérnagas, directed by Roberto Flores and starred by Marlon Moreno. During 2013 she has carried out several audiovisual projects ranging from commercials, video clips and the Production design of the feature film The Dead Men, produced by Brad Furman and Contento Films.

In addition to her work as a production designer, Sara Millán has worked as a creative director in the commercial campaigns of Al Final del Espectro (2007) and Saluda Al Diablo de mi Parte (2011), as a professor at the National School of Film and in the Project of Ministry of Culture, Imaginando Nuestra Imagen (2012), and as an art director in many commercials and short films.
