Henry Rincón first entered the film industry through the ten years he spent studying acting for theater, film, and television. At the same time, he was participating in workshops in film and television production and screenwriting. He taught film and television directing at the Efraín Arce Aragón school in Medellin, where he wrote and directed the short films Lazos de sangre, El árbol, and Presencia inesperada.
In 2008, he directed the short Perseguida, from the production house Ara Films. In 2009, he wrote the screenplay for the short film Memento Mori, from the production company Contento Films, and finished writing the screenplay for the feature film Evangelio. He went on to write the screenplay for the feature film The Dead Men (2012), also produced by Contento Films.
Through the production company Héroe Films, Rincón directs a film workshop for vulnerable children, called “The World of Heroes.” As a result of the workshop, he has directed the shorts Unas vacaciones espaciales and Los héroes, which have been screened at numerous children's and human rights film festivals in Colombia and abroad.
After winning a feature film screenwriting award in 2011, Rincón filmed his first feature Pasos de héroe in 2014. Since then, he has led a number of film projects focused on social issues.
