The Master 's Degree In Creation and Audiovisual Studies belongs to the School of Arts and the School of Communications and Philology at the Universidad de Antioquia, located in Medellín, Colombia. During 2024 the program is in its third cohort. The Master 's Degree In Creation and Audiovisual Studies is oriented to an advanced education in research and research - creation for audiovisual contents. The research component encompasses reflections about historical, contextual and theoretical aspects of audiovisual contents. The research - creation component includes different aspects that are involved in audiovisual creations, such as script writing, editing, staging, production, among others. However, we do not radically separate both educational approaches in order to allow them to nourish each other. From the first to the fourth semester, the development of the final project, associated with the Research Seminar, is carried out with the personalized advice of an expert advisor in the field.
