ANIMASIVO is based in Mexico City and works as an open space, dedicated to the critical reflection and cultural diffusion of experimental animation.
Since the beginning ANIMASIVO has given a big exposure to the experimental uses of animation. Its first commitment is to give to the audience risky and unprecedented ways to see animation.
ANIMASIVO has three areas each one completes the other. The first one is an International Contest where animators from the entire world can summit his animated shorts. The second one involves the artistic expressions of animation trying to get rid
of the conventional ways of animation in order to explore the relationship between animation and visual arts to finally offer more daring ways of artistic expressions such as performances, art installations, live animation and exhibitions.
