Description

The Popayán Short Film Festival began in 2009 as a new space for national short films, a genre that has grown in recent years thanks to greater access to equipment and technology and production grants from the Ministry of Culture and the Film Development Fund. This increase in the production of short films requires new places for screening them in order to properly complete the production cycle given the importance of getting these films seen not only at international festivals but on national festival circuits as well.
