Description
Since 2009, the mission of the Cali International Film Festival has been to support and promote the exhibition, distribution, training, and appropriation processes of film and audiovisuals since 2009. It also seeks to encourage independent cinema and new narrative formslocally, nationally, and internationallyfostering the creation and cultural expression of diverse perspectives. The Festival is a platform for the city and region's film and audiovisual sector, organized by the Secretariat of Culture of Santiago de Cali. It opens spaces to present works, creations, and other artistic, community, experimental, and aesthetic forms of filmmaking while promoting creativity and discussion around the audiovisual language. The Festival also facilitates collaboration between the city's public cultural institutions and the professional and alternative audiovisual sectors.
