Second Round of FDC Awards for 2015

On Thursday, October 29, the 2015 Film Development Fund incentives were awarded to recipients in the various categories comprising the Fiction, Training, and Comprehensive Incentive sections. At the awards ceremony, held in the Teresa Cuervo Borda Auditorium at the National Museum of Colombia, 42 projects in these three sections received a total of 9,249,265,600 Colombian pesos (US$3.1 million) in incentives

Colombian films won numerous awards and recognitions this month, including Land and Shade at San Sebastian, Un instante en La Habana (Havana Moment) and Playing Lecuona in Montreal, La sargento Matacho at the Cine Bajo la Luna International Festival, Noche herida (Wounded Night) at Mar del Plata (Argentina), and a tribute to the documentary filmmaker Luis Ospina at Viña del Mar (Chile)

Premieres in Spain and Italy

This September, César Acevedo’s Land and Shade was released in Italy and Óscar Ruíz Navia’s Los Hongos premiered in Spain
