Shooting took place from June 17 – July 24 on the Colombian film Sofía y el terco, a first film by director/writer Andrés Burgos starring Spanish actor Carmen Maura (Pepi, Luci, Bom y otras chicas del montón, ¡Ay, Carmela! and Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios). Colombian actors in the film shot on location in Bogota, La Calera, Guasca, Anapoima, Apulo and Santa Marta include Gustavo Angarita (Bolívar soy yo, Malamor) and Constanza Duque (Soplo de vida, La deuda).

Eleven copies of Carlos Cesar Arbelaez’s Colombian feature Los colores de la montaña hit Spanish cinemas on June 10. Distributors Barton Films launched the film in 12 Spanish cities, making it one of the Colombian films with the greatest number of international theater screenings.

Six Colombian productions took part in the 2011 Ibero-American Prix Jeunesse Festival held from June 14-16 in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Guillermina y Candelario, Kikirikí, el Notizín and La lleva broadcast on Señal Colombia, Bichos - Reencauche Casa de Muñecas on RCN Televisión, Especiales Ponyfútbol - Niños Tumaco on Telemedellín and Revelados, TV Serie competed in this biannual event.
