Under the theme "Ideas come together," the fifteenth edition of BAM aims to promote collaboration, growth, and negotiation among participants through various meetings and gatherings. Organized by Proimágenes Colombia and the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, BAM is Colombia's premier audiovisual market dedicated to promoting a sustainable and globally competitive industry.

Among the notable guests of this edition will be Raúl García (Spain), known for his extensive career in animation, including series such as The Flintstones and The Smurfs, as well as films such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, The Lion King, Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius, and The Lost Lynx. Also present will be Pamela Biénzobas, consultant and programmer, who has been a member of the feature film selection committee at the Locarno Film Festival (Switzerland) since 2021; Rodrigo Teixeira, founder of the production company RT Features; Álvaro Arroba, programmer of BAFICI (Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival) and consultant for Spain and Latin America at the Cannes Filmmakers Fortnight; María Elena Wood, journalist and founding partner of Wood Producciones; Ranell Shubert, manager of the Documentary Access Initiative Funding Program at the International Documentary Association; and Caitlin Smith, acquisitions and distribution consultant with experience at Curzon Artificial Eye, The Match Factory, the British Film Institute, and Mubi.

To celebrate its 15th anniversary, BAM will highlight Latin American cinema to strengthen links between filmmakers across the region. The event starts with the Coproducir en Latinoamérica session, which brings together 12 personalities from Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and Uruguay. This session will explore the policies that facilitate regional co-productions among these nations. Each country will be represented by institutional experts who will provide insights into relevant co-production laws. Producers will also share their first-hand experiences in the field.

The section El cine latinoamericano se piensa is a think tank that fosters discussion on the current pedagogy, production, and distribution of Latin American cinema. Five experts from the fields of film production, exhibition, journalism, and programming will present. Audience members accredited to the event will be able to participate in an open roundtable discussion during three one-and-a-half-hour sessions on July 10, 11, and 12.

In addition, during the four days of Market Sessions (MS) activities, professionals will gather to create a live podcast that explores emerging trends in the audiovisual market. The Gente Que Hace Cine podcast will host this collaboration.

The event MS: Argentine Cinema United will also take place in response to the current social context affecting Argentine delegations in various film markets and festivals. Federico Durán, a Colombian producer known for his frequent collaborations with Argentina, will discuss with three Argentine producers the challenges facing the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), the National Fund for the Arts, and the Mar del Plata Festival. The current Argentine government's political initiatives have jeopardized the continuity of these institutions.

Also, MS: Horror Cinema in Latin America draws inspiration from the commercial success of the Argentine film Cuando Acecha la Maldad (When Evil Lurks), directed and written by Demián Rugna. Two of the film's producers will discuss the film's market success, its artistic approach, and the current landscape for horror filmmaking across Latin America with Alejandra Rocas, a specialist in the horror genre.

In the Meet section, attendees can join thematic discussions with professionals from various fields in the audiovisual industry. One of the panels will delve into the essential traits of innovative development initiatives in editorial lines at film festivals and by sales agents, among other topics. Additionally, there are Bam Talks, a series of discussions centered around the theme "The Moment of Feeling, conversations that explore feelings and sensations that link creators and audiences". One of the talks, titled "Trust: Believing in a Debut", will feature producers Giancarlo Nasi (Chile), Santiago Gallelli (Argentina), and Stefano Centini (Italy, Taiwan). They will share insights from their work on "Los Colonos," a significant Latin American film from 2023 that was part of the Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival.
