The documentary Anhell69 premiered in French cinemas on May 29. Its debut took place at the Grand Action in Paris in the presence of Alejandro Hincapié, David Hurst, Bianca Oana (Romanian producer), and Matthieu Taponier (editor). Distributed in France by Dublin Films, the film explores the dreams, doubts, and fears of a decimated generation and their struggle to continue making films in the streets of Medellin. It is still being shown in places like La Rochelle.

Anhell69 had its world premiere at the 37th Venice International Critics Week, where it received the Grand Jury's Special Mention, the Verona Film Club Award for the most innovative film of the section, the Mario Serandrei Award for Best Technical Contribution, and the Bisato D'oro Award from the Venice Independent Critics Association for Best Screenplay. Since then, the film has been selected for over 60 festivals worldwide.

Anhell69, Theo Montoya's debut feature film, is produced by Desvio Visual, in co-production with Monogram Film, Dublin Films and Amerikafilm. In this work, the director transforms his original fiction, primarily through characters who, by sharing their lives with the camera, reveal what it is like to be queer in one of the most conservative cities in the country, especially when faced with the tragedy of death. The documentary turns into a fictional film, depicting an unwanted fictional society consumed by spectrophilia - sexual relationships between ghosts and humans. It then returns to documentary form to tell the story of how this fiction was stopped by the death of Camilo Najar in 2017.

On June 21, Spanish cinemas began showing Rapunzel, el Perro y el Brujo (Rapunzel, the Dog and the Sorcerer), distributed by Moon Entertainment. Major cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia, and Bilbao now have the opportunity to experience this production, which blends the reality of rural Colombia's Andes with history, contemporary violence, myths, and legends.

Director Andrés Roa Ariza titled his film Rapunzel, el Perro y el Brujo because it delves into a chilling tale set against the backdrop of Colombia's armed conflict. Released on February 22, 2024, the film draws on local superstitions deeply rooted in villages nationwide.

The film interweaves Colombia's harsh reality with the eerie folklore of peasants and mythical creatures. Roa Ariza describes it as a tale of asusto (terror), a term coined by peasants from the central Colombian mountains to describe figures from horror and mystery lore, such as witches, goblins, and local legends like La Llorona, the headless priest, and Mother Mount.

Anderson Ballesteros, Álvaro Rodríguez, Andrés Estrada, Jimena Diaz, Julio Pachón, Álvaro García, Ana María Sánchez, and Álvaro Rodríguez are among the actors and actresses who star alongside director Andrés Roa Ariza.

Rapunzel, el Perro y el Brujo is produced by Roa and filmmakers crew, in co-production with Telepacífico, with associate production from Sapcine, Lapost Studio, Juen y July, and Proimágenes Colombia. It is in association with Cinemático, Cabeto Sound, FC Film Rental, Kymera Quindío, Paradigma de Pereira, Gun Service, Golpe de Gracia, Unfocus, and Cine en las Montañas. The project also includes the participation of Dago García Producciones and Caracol Televisión.
