The 15th edition of the Bogotá Audiovisual Market (BAM) ended with its closing ceremony on July 12th. Nearly 40 awards were presented, recognizing the excellence of projects in various categories, including film projects, animation, series, screenings, shorts, stories, and bammers.

BAM, Colombia's most important audiovisual market, took place in Bogotá with more than 140 activities and the participation of numerous national and international guests. Mónica Moya, coordinator of BAM publications, and Ricardo Jiménez, deputy director of communications at Proimágenes Colombia, hosted the closing ceremony, which included speeches by María Paz Gaviria, manager of cultural programs at the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, Claudia Triana, director of Proimágenes Colombia, and Santiago Trujillo, Bogotá's secretary of culture. Nearly 40 awards were presented, recognizing the quality of the projects in various categories.

FILM PROJECTS (documentary and fiction projects)

- Malmirada (Bad Look), directed by Cristina Sánchez and produced by Continente and Inercia Films, received legal advice from Umaña Asociados, a direct pass to the Forum of the Madrid Film and Audiovisual School (ECAM), a set of COOKE ANAMORPHIC SPECIAL FLARE 1.8X FULL FRAME lenses for four weeks from García Rental, and a scholarship to attend SAPCINE 2024.
- Otro jardín (Another Garden), directed by Mariana Gil Ríos and produced by Movimiento Cine, received a fast track to BrLab Features in Brazil, and its producer, Daniela Echeverri, received a pass to Rotterdam LAB.
- Naufragio en Babel (Shipwreck in Babel), directed by Andre del Sur and produced by Cinespecimen, received a pass to Cinemart at Rotterdam LAB and WARMI LAB 2025 at MAFF - Malaga Festival Fund & Co-Production Event.
- Nacimos muertos (We Were Born Dead), directed by Juan Felipe Zuleta and produced by Producciones Cinematográficas Zuma, received sound and/or original music post-production services from La Tina.
- Madre Páramo (Mother Highland), directed by Lucía Diegó and produced by Bárbara Films, received equipment, elements, and studio rentals from TIS.

ANIMATION (Animation Projects)

- Deidades (Deities), directed by Adan Li Guampe and produced by Piragna Studio, received a grant to cover ten days of travel expenses to visit animation studios in Toulouse and accreditation to attend the Cartoon Forum, courtesy of the French Embassy in Colombia.

BAM SERIES (Series in Development)

- On Hold, directed by Daniella Castro and produced by Marina Films, received a pass to the Episodio 0 section of the Guadalajara International Film Festival, an audio post-production award for the series pilot of up to 60 minutes with Atmos technology from Sonata, and a grant of COP$60,000,000 from the Colombian Film Commission through the CINA incentive.
- Capitanas (Captain Women), directed by Alessandro Angulo and produced by Laberinto Cine y TV, was awarded a Fast Track to MIP Cancun by RX Global and an Audio Post Production Award for the series pilot of up to 60 minutes using Sonata's Atmos technology.
- Infierno Grande (Big Hell), directed by Jose Luis Rugeles and produced by Rhayuela, received a grant of COP$60,000,000 from the Colombian Film Commission through the CINA incentive.
- Periodistas (Journalists), directed by Felipe Cano and produced by Wide Angle, received a direct ticket to Conecta Fiction.

FILM SCREENINGS (Feature films in post-production)

- Enemigo en el Espejo (Enemy in the Mirror), directed by Julian Camilo Sánchez of RED COLLISION, received a package of colorization services valued at twenty million pesos and an incentive of two legal deposit deliverables, Quality Check and DCDM files, valued at one million pesos, from Futuro Digital.
- No los Dejaron Volver (They Didn't Let Them Come Back), directed by Ángela Carabali and produced by Sandelion Productions, received five 5.1 mixing sessions and five colorization sessions from Guateque Cine and a direct pass to the Ibero-American Work in Progress at SANFIC - Santiago International Film Festival.
- Feliza, directed by Ivette Liang and produced by Galaxia 311, received an incentive of two legal deposit deliverables, Quality Check and DCDM files, valued at one million pesos, from Futuro Digital.
- Llueve sobre Babel (Rains on Babel), directed by Andrés Felipe Hermida and produced by Gala de Sol Films, received an incentive of two legal deposit deliverables, a quality check, and DCDM files valued at one million pesos from Futuro Digital.

ROUGH SHORTS (Short Film Editing Lab)

- La Europa (Europe), by Nestor Betancur and Jorge Perez Aldana, received a package of post-colorization services valued at two million Colombian pesos from Futuro Digital; transcription, SRT translation from or into English, and subtitling in English or Spanish from Lingua Viva; and two accreditations for the BFM - Bogoshorts Film Market 2024.
- Vestigio (Vestige), by Leslie Acosta and Juan José Marín, received a post-production package of six editing shifts, six colorization shifts, and six sound design or mixing shifts from the Centro Ático of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana; an incentive for access to Audio Network's music catalog for musicalization by the International Promotion Department of Proimágenes Colombia; transcription, SRT translation from or into English, and subtitling in English or Spanish by Lingua Viva; and two accreditations for the BFM - Bogoshorts Film Market 2024.
- Post-familia (Post-Family), by Alexis Lozano Tafur and Valentina Romero López, received an incentive from the International Promotion Department of Proimágenes Colombia for access to Audio Network's music catalog for musicalization; transcription, SRT translation from or into English, and subtitling in English or Spanish by Lingua Viva; and two accreditations for BFM - Bogoshorts Film Market 2024.
- Niña Chilapa (Chilapa Girl), by Juana Lotero and Daniel Sánchez, received an incentive from the International Promotion Department of Proimágenes Colombia for access to Audio Network's music catalog for musicalization; transcription, SRT translation from or into English, and subtitling in English or Spanish by Lingua Viva; and two accreditations for BFM - Bogoshorts Film Market 2024.
- Carlos Velandia's Este no es un jardín (This is not a garden) received transcription, SRT translation from or into English, and subtitling in English or Spanish by Lingua Viva; and two accreditations for the BFM - Bogoshorts Film Market 2024.
- No lo mataron pero sí murió (They didn't kill him, but he died), by Iván Prada, received transcription, SRT translation from or into English, and subtitling in English or Spanish by Lingua Viva; and two accreditations for the BFM - Bogoshorts Film Market 2024.

BAM STORIES (Screenplays)

- Porter, by David Felipe Camacho, received a COP$25,000,000 package from Dynamo for script development and writing support and complete project packaging support (pitch deck, sales presentations, etc.) for three years.
- Juan Machete, by Manuel Cubas, received two consultations on the narrative universe of the story and the creation of a fantastic genre mythology within the Ibero-American Laboratory of Fantastic Film Projects - Fantasolab.
- Muchacha (Girl), by Ana Lucía Gurisatti, received a direct pass to the Algo en Común production meeting.

BAMMERS (Young Talents)

- Acuñando monedas de cuero (Coining Leather Coins), a project by José Luis Ramírez, and Habana Libre, by Juliana Morales, received grants from the San Antonio de los Baños Film and Television School (Cuba). Each received a scholarship for one distribution and/or executive production workshop.
- El cielo está vivo (The Sky is Alive), a project by Miguel Ángel Fajardo, received a direct pass to DOCLAB at the Buenos Aires International Documentary Festival (FIDBA) 2024.
- Progresando (Progressing), a project by Paula Cadena, received a Sony ILME FX30 camera and lens.
- Los Gallos (The Roosters), Valentina Romero's project, received a pass to the MIA Cluster of the International Human Rights Film Festival.
- Espantapájaros (Scarecrows), a project by Salomé Bjork, and Muertos que no son muertos (Dead People Who Are Not Dead), by Nicolás Segura, received direct passes to the BFM Incubator - Bogoshorts Film Market.
- Salomé Bjork and Manuel Sotomonte received slots for the Creative Production and Experimental Documentary workshops, respectively, at the 10th Bogotá International Film Festival (BIFF).

The 15th edition of the Bogotá Audiovisual Market (BAM) was organized by Proimágenes Colombia and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the National Council for the Arts and Culture in Cinematography (CNACC), the Film Development Fund (FDC), the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Knowledge, MinTIC, and Bogota's Institute of the Arts (IDARTES), along with official partners Caracol Television, Cine Colombia, Egeda Colombia, Colombo, ProColombia and TIS.

Colombian presence at FIDMarseille

The 35th edition of the Marseille International Film Festival took place with the world premieres of Andrés Jurado's Bienvenidos conquistadores del espacio interplanetario y sideral (Welcome Conquerors of Interplanetary and Sidereal Space) and Colombian director Camilo Restrepo's La Chambre d'ombres (The Room of Shadows). Paula Rodríguez Polanco's Malpaís (Bad Country) also won at the FIDLab.
