Colombia made a notable impression at the 2024 edition of Iberseries & Platinum Industry, boosted by the joint efforts of ProColombia and Proimágenes Colombia, which promoted the country as a leading audiovisual production destination in the region. This partnership highlighted Colombia's exceptional locations, attractive economic incentives, and the value of Colombian stories, which attract international interest. With a dedicated country stand and a delegation of more than 50 companies from the audiovisual sector, Colombia aimed to create new business opportunities, establish strategic alliances, and consolidate its position as a key destination for international productions.

Activities kicked off on Monday, 30 September, with an event organized by Cremades & Calvo Sotelo Abogados, in collaboration with Proimágenes Colombia and ProColombia, entitled "The advantages and potential of producing in Colombia." The event highlighted incentives such as the Audiovisual Investment Certificates (CINA) and the tax benefits outlined in Law 1556, as well as the growing interest in Colombian stories, which continue to attract international production companies.

On Wednesday, 2 October, Colombia Day, several important events took place, including the official inauguration of the Colombia Stand. The stand's opening marked the start of the day's activities and was a significant opportunity to showcase the country's opportunities. The conference, entitled "Milestones in Colombian Television," featured speakers Samuel Duque and Clara María Ochoa and was moderated by Dago García. This conference reviewed key moments in Colombian television and examined how local stories have influenced audiences nationally and internationally.

This was followed by the Colombia - Networking Meeting, a space for audiovisual professionals to network and explore new opportunities for collaboration. The presentation was entitled "Medellin Creative Connection Opportunities" and was presented by El Pauer.

Colombia also played a prominent role in co-production forums and pitch sessions, presenting an impressive selection of projects. The Co-Production and Financing Forum highlighted Daddy Issues (ECTV Media, Alibi Films), a fiction series co-produced between Spain and Colombia that explores dramedy and mockumentary formats; El abogado de Mattos. David vs. Goliath (Mattos Lawyer. David vs. Goliath); Rhayuela Films, Punta Fina), a thriller based on a true story; and Mamá (Im)perfecta (Imperfect Mom; Laberinto, Ganas Producciones, Tarea Fina), a feature film developed in collaboration with Argentina. In addition, Colombia had thirteen projects selected for the pitch sessions for platforms and production companies.

Colombia's participation was supported by Claudia Triana de Vargas, Director of Proimágenes Colombia; Silvia Echeverri, Director of the Colombian Film Commission; and Natalia Barbosa, Deputy Director of Promotion for the Colombian Film Commission, who worked to promote the country as an attractive destination for international audiovisual production.
