The website of the Colombian Film Commission (www.locationcolombia.com), a project of Proimágenes Colombia supported by the National Government, aims to promote the country as a destination for audiovisual production. Its new interface improves the consultation of a wide directory, both of locations, companies, and professionals in the audiovisual sector, as well as information about the incentives offered to the audiovisual industry and the processes and permits required to shoot in Colombia.

As part of the online edition of the Bogota Audiovisual Market – BAM, on July 29 at the end of the Market Session TO MAKE IT SHORT: What's next? a panel in which the international circulation of short films was discussed, the short films that are part of the Catalogue of Colombian Shorts - REFRESH Vol.2 were unveiled and the new official page of this strategy was presented.

The 77th Venice Film Festival, which will be held in early September, announced its official selection of films. The Colombian short film Entre tú y Milagros and the feature film co-production Selva Tragica are part of the event.

The Colombian-French co-production directed by Camila Beltrán was part of the Pardi di Domani International Competition of the 73rd edition of the festival.

From Tuesday, July 21, the eleventh edition of the Bogota Audiovisual Market began. With its transfer to the online environment, the #ModoBAM brings together companies, professionals, content, buyers, and industry players, with the aim of reviving the Colombian audiovisual industry. In addition, it presents a space of academic talks open to all those interested in learning about trends in the sector, which are available for free on the official market page on Facebook.

With the enactment of Decree 692, which modifies the structure of the Ministry of Culture, and Decree 474 of 2020, through which the articles of the 2018-2022 National Development Plan that modify Law 1556 of 2012 for the issuance of audiovisual investment certificates in Colombia, the legislative map that governs the coming years is configured.
