At the 8th edition of the event, Memories of my Father — a film directed by Spain’s Fernando Trueba, and produced by Caracol Televisión and Dago García Producciones — walked away with five awards. Andrés Parra and Christian Tappan were also acclaimed for their performances in The Great Heist, a series created by Pablo González and Camilo Salazar Prince that was produced by Dynamo and distributed by Netflix.

Juan Andrés Arango’s Where the River Begins, produced by Paola Pérez, was awarded the Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum’s DALE! award (Development Latin America-Europe), while Carlos Lechuga’s Vicenta B., co-produced by Consuelo Castillo, walked away with the EGEDA Platino Industria Award for the best Latin American work-in-progress film.

This Colombian-Spanish co-production, directed by Juan Soto Taborda and Chiara Marañón and co-produced by the Colombian company Sandelion Productions, began production in late September.

Rust by Sebastián Mesa, Rebel Objects by Carolina Arias Ortiz, (No Subject) by Guillermo Moncayo and Son of Sodom by Theo Montoya were the Colombian representatives at the 30th edition of the Biarritz Amérique Latine Festival.

The catalogue of Colombian short films, a PROIMAGENES Colombia initiative supported by the Film Development Fund (FDC), announced the shortlist for its third edition at the Bogotá Audiovisual Market (BAM). In total, there are six short films in this new volume that will have the opportunity to be sent to approximately 80 international events for their festival tour.

The world premiere of "La Roya" in New Directors, the participation of "Amparo" in Horizontes Latinos, and "Un varón" and "Donde comienza el río" in the industry sections are Colombia’s contributions to the 69th edition of the festival.
