Colombia at Biarritz

Todo incluido (All Inclusive) by Duván Duque Vargas, Mudos testigos (Silent Witnesses) by Luis Ospina and Jerónimo Atehortúa, Nosotras (We, the Women) by Emilce Quevedo Díaz, Adieu Sauvage (Farewell Savage) by Sergio Guataquira Sarmiento, El otro hijo (The Other Son) by Juan Sebastián Quebrada, Entrevista laboral (Job Interview) by Carlos Osuna, and Vicenta B. by Carlos Lechuga were the Colombian entries in this event, which serves as a meeting and exchange platform between Europe and Latin America. Nosotras and Adieu Sauvage won awards in the Documentary Competition.

Colombia Honored at the Venice Film Festival

Margarita Rosa de Francisco was awarded the Best Actress title in the Orizzonti section of the 80th Venice International Film Festival for her role in El Paraíso (Paradise), an Italian film written and directed by Enrico Maria Artale. This recognition further underscores the prominence of Colombian talents and productions at the festival in recent years.

Paloquemao: "The Market of Vampires" Takes Home the Prize in Mexico

Directed by Jeferson Cardoza Herrera and produced by La Banda del Sur Films, this film secured the title of Best International Short Film at the Macabre Horror Film Festival. The project is part of Colombia's short film catalog, REFRESH Vol. 4.
